Make a Bequest

Include the Bethlehem Area Public Library in your estate plan by bequeathing assets in your retirement plan, life insurance policy, other financial or investment accounts.

Planned giving is a simple and tax-efficient way to fund your legacy.

Contact Executive Director Josh Berk with inquiries regarding making a bequest to the library. Thank you!

Your Contribution

If you already have a Will or Living Trust, you can add the Library as a beneficiary through a Codicil or trust amendment.

There are several ways to make a bequest to the Library:

  • Specific Bequest is a gift of a particular dollar amount or a specific piece of property.
  • Residuary Bequest is a gift of all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses, and specific bequests are paid.
  • Contingent Bequest is a gift that takes effect only if the primary beneficiary or beneficiaries of the bequest predecease you.

Consult with your attorney or other advisors to choose the bequest that best fits your estate plan.
