What to do at the library

David Gothard's "Little Lola"

Frances L. Barnard Children’s Center

Come visit our new (2016) Frances L. Barnard Children’s Center and young adult area. In a relaxed atmosphere, babies through high schoolers can explore and learn. For special programs, our R.K. Laros Children’s Program Area provides an activity space with “tree-house” views!

Young Readers & Early Literacy

Sharing a story with your child is one of life’s simplest—and most educational—pleasures. Reading aloud helps children learn new words and imagine new worlds.

What Parents Can Do

Read with your children as toddlers and keep them reading as they grow. The library can help you find books—print, audio, and ebooks—plus other resources and activities to keep them growing.

Try ABC MOUSE at the library

ABCmouse is free in-house at the library for your child! The online games let children learn as they play.
