Create a beautiful bracelet using the centuries-old Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo (literally translates as “the gathering of threads”).
Bethlehem Township resident, Betty Waldbieser, a Kumihimo jewelry designer, will share her skills and expertise with novice crafters in this special 3-hour workshop at the Coolidge library. Due to the detailed instruction, there is space for only 6 individuals per class (plus two instructors) and open to interested individuals ages 16 and up. The workshop cost is $10 per person, and registration will begin in March. The cost covers the materials for one bracelet (cord, beads, button, the use of Betty’s own beading wheels and other tools, and online resources for further learning). Call BAPL Coolidge at 484-892-6267 for more information.
