One of our favorite seasonal events was held on Saturday as we met to trim beeswax candles in the Moravian tradition. Beeswax candles with red paper frills have been part of the Moravian Christmas tradition for hundreds of years. The use of beeswax and the color red are both symbolic and beautiful. This event was enjoyed by all ages and everyone got a lovely candle to take home! See some pictures of the smiling faces and beautiful candlework below.
