It’s here: Summer at My Library for Kids & Summer Reading for Adults!

For our 2020 Adult Summer Reading program, we’re going virtual!

Adult Summer Reading will run for eight weeks from June 22 through August 15, 2020. After each of the eight weeks, we will randomly select one reviewer to win a $25 Gift Card from a local business. To participate, simply read a book or listen to an audiobook and submit your book review using the link below. Winners will be randomly drawn each week and contacted via email.
With this summer’s reading theme of “Imagine Your Story,” BAPL is inviting the community to write a piece of prose or a poem by imagining their lives through the eyes of COVID-19. Tell us what it’s been like for you living through a pandemic. Please share your experiences, your fears, your silver linings. Guidelines–and terrific prizes!–are detailed at the link below.

And Summer at My Library–for preschoolers, kids, and teens–is coming too! Full of activities, special guests, and challenges for everyone to get involved this summer. Activities for preschoolers will be available online every Monday, for elementary-age kids on Wednesdays, and teens on Fridays. Join our virtual summer reading and learning program for kids and teens here.
Summer at My Library starts on June 22 and will run for eight weeks through August 15. Check out the BAPL events calendar to learn about specific programs.

Kick it off with a fantastic virtual presentation by the ScienceTellers that weaves a fantasy story with science activities. See and learn the science behind the Popping Potion, the Horn of Fire, and much, much, more here!

New for July: it’s The Amazing Magi: Michael Reist, Magician!
