Bob Cohen Room

On the first floor of the Main Library is a sizable space left empty when the former children’s room moved upstairs. We are thrilled to announce plans to turn this space into the “Bob Cohen Room,” a concert venue and multi-use space that will host lectures and meetings and plays and art galleries and all sorts of uses not yet imagined! And you can help! This room will honor the memory of Library Board member, donor, and dear friend Bob Cohen. Bob was such an excellent singer and performer–we couldn’t imagine a more fitting tribute at his beloved library than a venue in his name, where his legacy can live on in community performances and enrichment programs.

The room does currently show the wear and tear of nearly fifty years of use by families and we are currently seeking funds to help complete the transformation. The project was kicked-off by a sizeable bequest from Bob’s estate. Numerous friends and family members of Bob’s have also contributed, including a gift of support from the R.K. Laros Foundation. You can help with a donation of even $10. Together we can bring this project to completion!
