Join us this spring for an “Interview with Art: A Poetry Workshop &  Public Reading.” Facilitated by local poet, Cleveland Wall, participants will view and “interview” select student art works to create poetry about the featured art pieces.

During April and May, the Bethlehem Fine Arts Commission will present a Student Art Exhibition in the City Hall Rotunda, highlighting selected works from throughout the Bethlehem Area School District. In connection with the exhibition, we will be offering two poetry workshops – one for youth (ALL ages), and one for adults. (Parents who wish to participate with their children are welcome to sign up for the youth / family session).

Workshops will meet in the Rotunda Gallery (round building next to the library) but will move to the library for the writing phase.

On May 18th, after the exhibition at the Rotunda has ended, the selected art pieces will be moved to the Bob Cohen Room at the Main Library where there will be a public reading of the poems that were inspired by them.

Art lovers of all ages are encouraged to participate in this community celebration of young artists! Class size is limited to 15 participants per workshop.

To register, email Cleveland Wall at cwall@bapl.org.
