The celebration of reading that is the Lehigh Valley Book Festival (March 26 at BAPL) got off to an early start in a big way today! We delivered 100 copies of author Paul Acampora’s book I Killed the Mockingbird to fifth graders at Fountain Hill Elementary School. And there to sign the books and talk about being an author was Mr. Acampora himself! We were able to do this thanks to our partners at Let’s Play Books as well as the generosity of Randi Blauth, Jane Gill, Joyce Hinnefield, and Will & Leni Rufe. These generous individuals (and library board members) “adopted” a classroom at the school, allowing us to give a free, signed book, to each kid in fifth grade! Would you like to sponsor a classroom?
